Many years ago, as a teenager, I used to help my Dad brew beer and wine. It always tasted like . . . homebrewed beer or wine.
Now, I’m older. I’m a father myself with teenage lads. It is time to go around the circle again. But, this is me. I’m a planner, a thinker, a perfectionist. I’m not going to just buy a kit and go for it. I’m going to learn about brewing beer. I want to know how the water affects my brewing; I want to know how the grain affects my beer; I want to know how the yeast affects my fermentation.
I’m delving into this world and, to keep myself accountable, I am starting a WordPress blog in order to keep myself accountable.
So this week I am looking for a book on Brewing Beer. Once I have selected the right book for me, I will give details here. As I progress through the book I will document my thoughts.
